Having the opportunity to be supported and cared for by Dr. Ciara Lopez has been more than excellent throughout my pregnancy. She’s very professional, careful, and thorough with every part of the visit whether it’s the adjustment or education on the body or providing extra at home stretches that continue to help me out until I see her at my next appointment. You can feel her passion in her work which has put me at ease throughout my first pregnancy.- Brooke T
She’s is the best!! I came to Ciera when I was pregnant and let me tell you she knows what she is doing.. Everytime I would leave her office I was pain free and would explain everything too me before I left on the next steps to feel better. I would totally recommend her 100% - Karla R

Webster Technique
Webster Technique is a chiropractic technique specific to pregnancy. A chiropractor must be certified after completing their Doctorate of Chiropractic in order to learn and practice the Webster Technique. Specifically we address the balance of the pelvis, we ensure that your pelvis is moving as best as it can. This is important for symmetry of the pelvis and allowing optimal space therefore positioning for your growing baby and eventually passage of baby through your pelvis during birth. Since this is a very detailed technique it often addresses the many areas of pain or discomfort that can be experienced with pregnancy.
*Mama Moves Mobility & Movement Program is NOT part of Webster Technique as it is something I have developed through my additional knowledge of functional movement, Spinning Babies, Body Balancing and as a BirthFit leader. This add-on has helped many women maintain weekly movement practices and support their strength and conditioning programs comfortably throughout pregnancy.

Pediatric Chiropractic
My passion for pediatric chiropractic began well before I became a chiropractor but birthing my son became a fuel for my passion to support families, infants and children. I studied extensively from various experts to understand the developing nervous system both in the womb and after birth. There is so much that can be done instead of a "wait and see" approach like many providers suggest. A holistic approach to tongue and oral ties, latch difficulties, reflux, gas, constipation and other difficulties in the realm of "rest and digest" or parasympathetic activities, being stuck in "fight or flight" or sympathetic activities. Our children deserve more.
A note on chiropractic services: Since this is a patient-centered approach, it's counterintuitive to allow insurance guidelines to dictate care, besides most plans claim to cover wellness services but also require "medical necessity" approval. If you truly believe your plan will cover wellness services then I will be happy to provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
Dr. Ciara is absolutely amazing and I HIGHLY recommend her, especially if you have young children. She is so patient and nurturing. Almost two years of constipation with my son was massively reduced within the first two sessions. We are eternally grateful for her help and professionalism ! - Mitzi T
“You must have a way with kids because my daughter doesn’t engage with new people ever- at all.”- Mom of a 3 year old
Dr. Ciara Lopez is so amazing. She is incredibly great at what she does, and the kindest person on top of that. I have been to other chiropractors but feel the best results with her.- Jasmine B
I’m a pregnancy, postpartum and pediatric chiropractor, a birth doula, a BirthFit Leader & Coach and a co-founder of a 501c3 nonprofit Sequoia Birth Collective. My mission has been to cultivate a community and space for women who are growing humans, birthing humans and healing from birth in a holistic and emotionally supported way.
My son is my 'Why', but to explain a little more I'll share a bit of my journey. It began with learning Ayurveda, body awareness and mindfulness in a yoga college course followed by work experience in corporate pharmacy’s and a diagnostic lab leading me to my education and focus on holistic healing through chiropractic care. I always knew I wanted to be in the health field but finding the spot I needed to be in came through my own pregnancy experience.
Before specializing in pregnancy and pediatrics I became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, contracted with USA Beach Volleyball in 2014 and traveled to places like China, Cypress, Portugal, Dominican Republic, Switzerland and Poland supporting professional and Olympic athletes. This led to an opportunity to be a Medical Coordinator for Kerri Walsh Jennings’ P1440 Beach Volleyball event series in San Jose, CA and Huntington Beach. These were all incredibly fulfilling experiences since the high school version of me had always wanted to become an Athletic Trainer: responding to on-field medical situations and treating sports injuries. I had a strong focus on functional movement and physical recovery care in my practice.
Being an active individual myself I have always tried to “practice what I preached” to the athletes I cared for and took this same mentality into “training for birth” when I became pregnant. I incorporated principles taught in BirthFit which fit perfectly into my current lifestyle and background in functional movement. BirthFit, Spinning Babies, and functional nutrition felt naturally supportive to the mother and baby during this momentous transition that I dug deeper into birth work and support.
I chose to become a doula because I recognized the impact being present for a birthing woman could have for her emotional and physical health. I bring the same integrity as I would supporting athletes in a sporting event because birth is one of THE most athletic events a woman could experience.
I also made it a goal to build a community of providers to support those experiencing the parenthood transition. The Sequoia Birth Collective, a 501c3 nonprofit was developed especially for this reason. Feel free to check it out at www.sequoiabirthcollective.org
